It's a "real" hybrid! Unlike the previous plug-in model, the 2026 Crosstrek Hybrid features a next-generation Subaru series-parallel hybrid system that recharges it's battery while you drive. The new system combines a 2.5-liter SUBARU BOXER® with electric motors, resulting in a combined output of 194 horsepower. This advanced Subaru technology gives you a total range of up to 965 kilometres per tank* so you get longer road trips, expeditions, and adventures of all kinds. Plus, you never need to plug in to charge, so you can just get in and head out.
*Based on manufacturer-estimated combined fuel economy and a full tank of fuel. Actual mileage may vary.
Save at the Pump
The Crosstrek Hybrid gets up to an EPA-estimated 36 MPG (38% better city fuel economy than gas models)*. That means all the exploration your capable, durable hybrid SUV lets you take on will cost you less at the pump. When you factor in fuel savings on top of all the long-lasting, feature-packed value this AWD SUV provides, it’s easy to see why the Crosstrek Hybrid is such a smart investment.

Subaru's Legendary Capability
With standard Subaru Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive and 8.7 inches of ground clearance, the Crosstrek Hybrid lets you discover places out of reach to ordinary hybrid vehicles.
